7 7 7

Sorry blog its been a while but I'll make up for it.

As I approach my birthday this Friday I reflect on the year that has gone by. I've learned alot and grown alot. Last year around this time I was recuperating from a stroke and mentally getting over that event. Whenever I think about this I just Praise God for giving me life and keeping me and my family. When you go through a truamatic event you have a different perspective on life. I am so thankful that my stroke didn't stop me from knitting;something that I love to do and has added so many dear friends into my life. Just today at Hobby Lobby I met a lady while she was looking for yarn..a simple hello and a invitation to our Tuesday night Panera knit together.

This time last year I also reconnected with my Dad after almost twenty years...it felt good to be a daddy's girl and he marveled at being a Grandpop...unfortunately we have disconnected but I am praying that he is ok and will call soon.

Now for 777 what does that mean ? Well oddly my oldest daughter turned 10 on March 27...then seven days later my husband turned 3? on 4/3...then I will turn 3? on 4/10. We are all seven days apart. What a miracle...we will forever be linked by the number seven...

Now to knitting..

I haven't bee knitting very much...work...family...its been quite a month...I do have a baby blanket on the needles, and I am making a shrug for my oldest daughter to wear with her Easter dress (pictures soon).

Peace and blessings to all during this time of renewal.

You ever find a deal and get goosebumps ?

I have resolved not to buy any new yarn until I have used at least 50% of my stash. I also borrowed another great idea from a lady that I knit with on Tuesday night: find sweaters at the thrift store, unravel them and then create something different. Well today I ventured out and found two great buys at the Salvation Army. I found a gorgeous red cashmere sweater. The price tags were still on it...original price $160.00 down to $100.00 I paid $4.99! My plan is to unravel it and make a few lace scarfs. I also found a cute chocolate brown 100% cotton sweater. Diva #1 has claimed this one.

My New Year has started off with a bang in the knitting sphere...I participated in a swap with one of the groups I belong to...a very special group of women who all belong to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.(http://www.deltasigmatheta.org/). My swap included some very special items(see pic)...I even receive some luxury Malabrigo yarn..and even better some patterns to make something nice...hey maybe I'll make something for myself...Thanks to Crimson Purl for such awesome gifts...

Speaking of making stuff for oneself...I cant seem to make anything for me...eveytime I turn around someone is pregnant..ah man I got to make something for the little one...Its a hard habit to break....As you can see below my first knitting project of 2009 is a baby hat and booties..
