A Great Creation

As a knitter I get great satisfaction in creating beautiful items with my hands. I don't consider myself the a very creative knitter. I consider myself a very functional knitter. I can follow a pattern and make very functional items, hats, scarfs, blankets,etc. This past week I made something that was very functional and creative. A hat for my first daughter. I must say it is very lovely and she does a great job showing it off for me.

I used two very simple patterns :

Hat : Button-Tab Knit Hat by M. Nishioka

Flower : Knit Flower by Sue Thompson

Work In Progress

I was listenining to a song titled "Work In Progress". I immediately thought about how this holiday weekend would be a good time to make some steps toward finishing all of our works in progress. Then I smiled and thought once one item is completed we pick up another set of needles dig thru our stash, dust off a pattern and start another work in progress :)

That's what Simba (our new kitty) was probably thinking when Jerry (our veteran cat) wanted to take a sniff. This picture reminds me so much of the times when I'm knitting and all I want is peace and quiet, no disturbances.
